[Thor in turn takes a while to respond to the message. For a while he just stares at it, knowing there's no truthful response he can give that's reassuring. Yet he can't stumble on this forever, not in this place where what happened at home is distant and the quarters were so close. Not when he has work that needs to be done.
[He knows from the manifest that the android is still present. He also knows from checking not so long ago - though it feels like a lifetime now - that Vision was in one of those damnable Fleet comas.
Maybe it's a little unfair to ask Wanda this, but the one thing he really needs to know is if Vision is still present and well.]
[In person. Thor doesn't know yet if he wants to talk, but seeing Wanda in person will be better for his state of mind - if not necessarily the state of his heart.]
[He switches the communicator off, staring at it for a long moment before getting to his feet and leaving for the shuttles. Thor tries not to think as he flies over to the Twin Roses. Not of what's happened, or of how it will feel seeing Wanda again. He had never had much time with her; more here, ironically, than he ever did on Earth. But they were both Avengers, teammates. It's a bond Thor cares about more than ever, now that his older friends were gone.
Arriving on the Twin Roses, Thor steps out of the shuttle and momentarily falters. He's never been on this ship, and doesn't know where Wanda will be. With a shake of his head he walks into the main corridor, deciding he'll figure it out if she doesn't appear to find him herself.]
[Thor has a strong presence and it doesn't take Wanda long to sense or find him. She doesn't mind leaving her room, just the ship - she's still close enough to feel if Vision wakes or get to him if something changes and he needs help. And while Wanda clearly looks tired, she's alive.
He looks like he needs a hug but Wanda hesitates. She's not sure if it would help or if he would rather not be touched.]
Hi. [She manages a small smile - it's still good to see him, even if the circumstances aren't great.] The lounge is this way. Unless you want something to drink?
[There's a brief moment, fleeting, when Thor sees Wanda appear in the hallway where he almost loses what composure he has. There's something desolate in his eyes as he looks at her, expression going strangely torn. But it passes and he manages a smile, strained though it is.]
People keep offering me drinks. I think they're trying to tell me something.
[She'd hate to see any of her friends with that expression, but on Thor it looks extra wrong. He's always seemed so jovial, even in the face of troubling odds. She can only imagine what's put that look on his face.]
You look a little tired. [Understatement of the year.] Have you had any sleep?
I have - honestly. [Since it seems like he should clarify he means it.] It just wasn't a good time at home, and it's taking a while to adjust.
[Injuries and energy levels don't carry over between visits home, but somewhere between being blown up twice and watching too many people die, the weariness sunk into his bones on a level beyond mere flesh.]
It's hard when... [...when Vision is lying comatose beside her and she's worried and his mind feels so strangely distant that she can find no comfort.] ...when so much feels wrong.
I bought some tea on Libuscha that's supposed to help. You can have some if you want?
[It never used to be hard, he knows. Thor isn't the kind of person who has trouble sleeping. Lately, though, it feels more of a dreaded chore than anything restful.]
[It hadn't twigged that this was what Wanda meant, so there's a moment where Thor just blinks stupidly at her. She's offering to put him to sleep? He's only had one encounter with her powers before... and it wasn't nearly so charitable, to put it mildly.]

Not when it's Wanda asking the question.]
well enough. it has been a long few days.
no subject
[That seems like the most delicate way to put it.]
Do you need anything?

i am all right for now. is vision still asleep?
[He knows from the manifest that the android is still present. He also knows from checking not so long ago - though it feels like a lifetime now - that Vision was in one of those damnable Fleet comas.

It's been almost two weeks. I've heard this happens sometimes but I'm worried
no subject
[He says it for Wanda's sake as much as his own.]
no subject
But he shouldn't think for a second that he's actually off the hook. Wanda's more than capable of enough worry to go around.]
Is it normal to last this long?

I'll tell him you were looking for him. Unless I can help?

I don't know that there's anything else that can be done.

I'm here if you need anything. Even if you just need to talk.

[In person. Thor doesn't know yet if he wants to talk, but seeing Wanda in person will be better for his state of mind - if not necessarily the state of his heart.]

Should I come over?

I'll come to you. The Twin Roses?
no subject
Yes.
Thank you.

You look in need of some rest yourself, Wanda.

I bought some tea on Libuscha that's supposed to help. You can have some if you want?
no subject
No, that's all right. I'm not fond of tea.
[Only Peggy Carter had ever successfully convinced him to have some. More out of sheer attitude than any desire on his part to drink the stuff.]
And... yeah. I know what you mean. I find I only think more when I try.
no subject
Sometimes I wish my powers worked on myself. I could just make myself sleep without nightmares.
