Character name: Thor

Series name: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Canon notes: Post-Age of Ultron, when he’s headed off to seek out the Infinity Stones

Species: Asgardian

History: http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Thor up to “Farewell to the Avengers”

Personality:
Thor spent much of his early life incredibly self-assured of his prowess in battle, to the point of arrogance. Taught his whole life that he was destined to be king, Thor was brash and immature, seeking out conflict and war when it wasn’t necessary. After his banishment to Earth Thor came to recognise how his irresponsible acts had endangered his home, and learned the value of sacrifice. His time spent on Earth and with the Avengers has tempered Thor’s behaviour into something more considered and less keen for warfare. While still quick to flare up into a temper, Thor is concerned with the safety of others rather than his own selfish ambitions of the past.

Coming from Asgard, Thor’s background is one of honour and warfare. He believes wholeheartedly in fighting for the sake of his world, Earth and the other realms, though sometimes this puts him at loggerheads with his own father. Thor speaks in a more formal and “medieval” manner as per Asgardian customs, but has picked up a fair bit of Earth culture from his time there.

Despite his focus on fighting, Thor is usually boisterous and cheerful. While his circumstances can leave him subdued at times, Thor tends to be straightforward and congenial with those he likes. There’s little artifice or subterfuge about him, and prefers to charge ahead rather than sit around waiting. With Thor, you know where you stand.

The responsibility of his station and his self-appointed task in protecting the realms is not lost on Thor. Over time he has grown from being someone who wanted the throne just because it was birthright, to someone who turned down being king as he recognised he could not protect those he cared about while sitting on the throne. He recognises that he does not know rule the way his father or brother do, and instead commits himself to helping others as a warrior.

Thor cares deeply about those close to him. He’s quick to trust, though has learned to be more wary after numerous betrayals and further insight into the complexity of the world. Thor is willing to hope for goodness in even his brother Loki, after several tragedies, but his love for his family no longer blinds him to hard truths. As a team member he’s dutiful and makes himself fully aware of what the others around him are doing.

Abilities:
- Lightning: Thor has the ability to wield lightning bolts, although at this point in canon this is mainly tied to his hammer (which will not be present in DF). Thor can call lightning strikes, or imbue the hammer with lightning when hitting enemies or other objects. If he’s sincerely pissed off lightning might crackle around his hands.
- Strength: Asgardians are much stronger than humans and Thor is no exception. He’s capable of hitting entire cars into foes, punching people dozens of feet into the air, and can hold his own in a fistfight with the Hulk. He can also jump higher than humans, such as leaping straight up from one flying vessel to another.
- Durability: Thor can take much harder and more damaging blows than a human and still be relatively fine. At one point he's stabbed in the ribs but still keeps fighting with minimal issue. He may heal faster than a human as well, and can certainly recover from injuries better.
- Magic: Thor doesn’t wield much magic, but is shown to be able to magically add and remove his armor at will. This usually comes in a burst of electricity.
- Age: Asgardians have incredibly long lifespans. Thor is at least 1000 years old (as he appears in Norse mythology from that time), and is likely older than that.

Augment Skillset: Security

Sample: Thor has never liked being in a cage. Truthfully, it has been only rare occasions that anyone has been able to contain him - and many of those when he was without his powers - and it frustrates him to no end that he now needs to add another to the list.

He casts a baleful look at the massive dent he made in the wall of the hospitality deck not fifteen minutes earlier. Whatever treachery was at work here was strong enough to build walls strong enough to stop him. And take his hammer, he reminds himself, though he hardly needs that reminder.

“Whoever you are, show yourself!” he shouts over the endless jingles echoing through the chamber. “I am Thor, the god of thunder, and I will not be imprisoned by some faceless coward!”

Only silence answers him, and that’s even more annoying. Thor palms the communication device he had found by the bed restlessly. It’s not a familiar design to him, but if he can’t punch his way out, then he’d best get some answers.
